Here's a painting I did a couple weeks ago. The light was constantly changing with clouds forming and breaking, finally culminating in a big thunderstorm. So, the water was a real challenge and kept changing from dark to light and back again to something in between. The algae went from fluorescent green to orange to brown, from bright to dark. I had to decide how I wanted it. While I was painting it I took pictures so I have photos of the pond in it's various phases.
Walden Reflections, 9 x 12, sold. This has been the rainiest summer ever.
